Is the incorporation of the state of Israel in 1948 the source of all violence in the middle east?

Can you answer gregory.harry's question about Incorporation?:

To what extent is the incorporation of the state of Israel in 1948 the source of violence in the middle east?

No. It didn't help, though.

Go to Nazi Germany.

That's certainly the main cause. However, I still think that Israel has the right to exist.

I would say it's about 75% responsible for tensions in the Middle East. The US's overthrow of Iran in 1940 / 1950 didn't help much either (which eventually triggered the revolt in 1979).

It isn't. Islamofascists are the source of all violence in the middle east.

No. There were Jews living in Medina in the 7th century and when they refused to participate in one of Muhammad's raids of another settlement, he massacred them.

This goes back long before 1948.

It's been a sore spot. But the source of violence was Mohammed's death in the year 632. Then disaggrements over who should take his place led to the split into Shiites and Sunni muslims. This deep divide and mistrust of each other still stands today.

Of course not. Arabs have been attacking Jews in the area since 1920.

In this world, the settlement of one struggle will always be the foundation for the next. It is a cycle that cannot be stopped.

Has anybody every read a history book? Ever hear of the Persian empire, the Babylonians, the Romans, the Crusades? The whole world, including the middle-east, has been full of violence for the entire history of man. The land currently occupied by Israel has been conquered, occupied and owned by at least 10 different states in the last 5000 years.

To say that creating the state of Israel in 1948 is the source of all violence is an incredibly ignorant statement and shows a complete lack of understanding of history and human nature.

To the extent that the Arabs didn't completely get what they wanted, which was all the land for Palestine. Can't get all of the loaf, want nothing. That fact that Israel exists is the problem. Maybe people could learn to live together, if not in harmony, at least in tolerance. But I guess that just ain't gonna happen anytime soon. Has anyone seen what the Arabs teach their children? To hate and destroy the Jews. Gee, that sounds like a fun place. Oh, and lets not forget that they also encourage their children to strap explosives to their bodies and blow up as many Jews as they can get next to. I know I'm impressed.

Israel just gives the Arabs a convenient excuse for their violent behavior.

Nope. The muslims are the source of corruption throughout the world. The corporation of Israel is beautiful!

Absolutely not. The shiites, sunnis, kurds and turks have been going at it since the Muhammad days (so to speak).

The state of Israel, nonetheless, is a GREAT and COMFORTABLE scapegoat for muslims to aim blame away from themselves and all of their internal problems.

Also, the fact that Israel exists cannot by definition be a "source" of violence. It is very easy to just shift blame, but the existence of something does not cause violence. Violent people do. And really, the only reason that the Israelis have such a huge army is because they were attacked by 5 nations the day after they declared an independent state.
