What is the difference between a corporation and an LLC?
Answered By Ivan Welten
The main distinction between a corporation
and an LLC is the mode of taxation. In a
business corporation generally, a corporation
pertains to a federal level taxation and the
business profits are shared with the
shareholders. The profits are subsequently
converted as income taxes in the owners'
individual taxes. There is only one level of
taxation in LLC, not two. Moreover, compared
to corporations, an LLC requires much lesser
record-keeping and that its Articles of
Organization is simpler.
